MCPCA Scholarships Focusing on Scholarship, Service, and Compassion

2025 will mark the 29th year that Mercer County Professional Counselors Association (MCPCA) will award scholarships to worthy students attending public and parochial high schools in Mercer County. Awards range from $250 - $1,000, and totaled well over $140,000. 

Applications for the scholarships are posted below and list the documentation required for each scholarship. Essays and required letters of recommendation are weighted heavily.   

The applicant’s School Counselor must be a member in good standing of Mercer County Professional Counselors Association by March 1, 2025, and the entire application packet received by March 14, 2025. Please make note of these deadlines and allow extra time for the US Postal Service delivery of the application packet to assure you make the deadline.

In 2024, ten outstanding seniors from four Mercer County schools were recognized for their community service and academic achievement in two categories. Caring for Humanity is based on commitment to service to their school or community. Meeting the Challenge’s criteria for recognition is a student who has compensated for a learning or physical challenge and achieved academically. Many Languages - One Ambition is for English Language Learners who have overcome language barriers and excelled socially and scholastically.
